That power belongs to God(Psalm 62:11)
During a Friday All-night Service at the time of the founding of Manmin in 1982, God showed its 17 members a vision for the Grand Sanctuary that is to be constructed. The following is an overview of the dream and the vision of the construction of the Grand Sanctuary.
The Grand Sanctuary is not merely a sanctuary building in which many people will gather to worship; it will be the greatest of all sanctuaries on the earth for Our God, who is the creator of the universe and everything therein and is worthy of honor and praise throughout the eternity.
By allowing King Solomon to build a beautiful temple during Old Testament times, God made His majesty and glory known throughout the earth. People of Old
Testamenttimes could receive salvation by keeping the law in deed and Solomon’s Temple was also a sanctuary where people worshipped God in deed.
In New Testament times, however, Jesus fulfilled the law with love and we have arrived at salvation through our belief in Jesus Christ. Through the receipt of the Holy Spirit, we are now able to keep God’s law not only in deed but also with our heart and become His true children by accomplishing God’s love and goodness in our heart.
The kind of sanctuary with which God is pleased in New Testament times is not built by deed alone, but by faith and love as well. He desires to receive from His children, who will have taken after Him with a holy and sanctified heart, a sanctuary of true meaning in their love for the Father. This is why He allowed the Old-Testament Temple to be destroyed and desires to accomplish a sanctuary of true meaning to be constructed by faith and love.
The structure of the Grand Sanctuary will contain numerous articles of spiritual significance pertaining to many secrets on the cultivation of mankind as well as the goodness, beauty, wisdom, and power of God. Just as God gave the minutest details of the tabernacle and the Temple to Moses and Solomon, respectively, He has also told Manmin in detail the dimension and the dimension and the structure of the Grand Sanctuary, and all these He will fulfill.
Supporting the Grand Sanctuary on the outermost limits are twelve pillars and in between each of the dozen pillars are seven smaller pillars, bringing the total number of pillars to ninety-six. The Grand Sanctuary is a model of New Jerusalem in heaven. The twelve large marble pillars symbolize the foundation stones of the city of New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:19-20) and are of the purest white in color. Atop each pillar are beautifully marble-sculpted flowers that surround it. Each flower has five petals and engraved in the middle of the flower are the twelve jewels, the foundation stones of New Jerusalem. Against illumination, these jewels will flash many different and beautiful colors and patterns. In between each of the twelve large pillars are twelve gates, much like the twelve pearl gates of New Jerusalem, and an angel will be engraved on each gate, making it appear as though the angels are guarding the gates. Engraved on the wall between each gate will be God’s Word regarding New Jerusalem. For they will feel as though they are looking at the gates of New Jerusalem, Manmin members/believers will desire the heavenly city all the more and become filled with the Holy Spirit.
The main hall of the Grand Sanctuary is round in shape, with a diameter of 600 meters (about 656 yards, which is more than six and a half times the length of an American football field). This measurement symbolizes the 6,000- Ri dimension of the length, width, and height of the cubical New Jerusalem (Editor’s Note: “Ri” is a traditional Korean unit of length; 6,000 Ri is approximately 1,863 miles or 3,000 kilometers long). It is 20 meters (about 65.6 feet) deep below the ground level and 40 meters (about 131.2 feet) tall above the ground level, 60 meters (196.8 feet) tall in sum. In the middle of the dome-shaped roof will stand a cross 10 meters (about 32.8 feet) in height, thus brining the total height of the Grand Sanctuary to 70 meters (about 229.6 feet).
In between each of the twelve large pillars are seven smaller pillars. “Seven” is a “perfect number,” symbolizing the six days God took in creating everything in the universe and the day of rest. Building seven pillars (84 in all) signifies the completion of God’s cultivation of mankind with the construction of the Grand Sanctuary. Engraved on each of the smaller pillars will be beautiful patterns that depict God’s creation of the universe in a sequence.
The first pillar will describe the creation of light, make use noctilucence and prism to show the light shining in darkness, and cover the entire pillar. Engraved on the second pillar will be patterns depicting God’s creation of heaven and separation of the waters from the waters. On the third pillar, grapevines and other fruit and beautiful vegetables will be engraved while the sun, the moon, and the stars will be carved on the fourth pillar. The fifth pillar will show various types of fish and birds including doves while the sixth pillar will illustrate such livestock as cattle and sheep and will also include Adam and Eve. The heart of God will be described on the seventh pillar with various types of precious stones in elaborate patterns.
There are differences among people in their envisioning of the Grand Sanctuary. This is because the Sanctuary surpasses the limits of man and will be constructed by the wisdom and inspiration of God. For the Grand Sanctuary will be built ornately with gold and other precious stones as provided by God Himself, the building will suffice to remind people of the beauty of New Jerusalem. One would feel the majesty and glory of God the Creator just by looking upon the Grand Sanctuary, and countless people who flock to it in their earnest desire will understand the Providence of the creation and there, praise and give glory to God.
God desires the Grand Sanctuary to be a sanctuary that will reveal His glory through His children who believe in Him and love Him from their heart, for it will be built not by money or technology but by faith and love.
